Bloomery iron smelting slags, associated with strong magnetic geophysical anomalies, also occur along the western margin of the Pont-y-parc farm curtilage, just upslope of the lead works waste dump and leat. It is not yet clear whether this represents an in-situ bloomery site. The slags are of a similar chemical composition to those from Mwyndy and Rhiwsaeson.
